PROCESS WORK

After I'm done with the poster I rasterised every layer and then moved the file to After Effects.

I started with doing the intro of the video, which wanted a cloud to move past the screen. Thus, I adjusted the scale of the top right corner cloud and moved the position of the clouds to last for a second and a half.

I also did the clouds on the shoulders to move in at the intro. While throughout the video, I made the clouds move up and down to portray the flying feeling.

Then, I did the clouds beside the head to move up left and right too. At first there was animation for the clouds to move up and down but I realised it was too much movement for my liking.

For the cloud on the top left, I also changed the position of it throughout the video.

After that, I moved on with doing a glowing effect for the kintsugi as I wanted to emphasise on the cracks of the phase. I did the effects using the stylise presets and edited the glow intensity, radius and threshold for every 4 seconds to glow alternately.

Then, I move on to edit the intro of the butterflies as I wanted them to appear from the garden. Thus, changed the scale to be smaller, the position of the butterfly and its opacity.

After that, I used puppet warp to edit the wings of. the butterfly to make them appear like they are fluttering.

Next, I moved on with editing the rotations of the flowers and leaves as well as the scale for some as I want them to appear like its growing. I've also used the puppet warp to distort the yellow poppies to show some movement.

Lastly, I edited the watering can and the water droplets to rotate and move up and down and I've also puppet warped my hand along with the movement. After that I added background music and sound effects of the swooshing cloud at the intro to my video.

REFLECTION

This week I moved on to the animation process of the project. As there were many layers to my composition, it was a hard time trying to find out which layer is which even though I labeled every layer in Photoshop, but in the end it took me some patience to complete the animation. It was fascinating to see the once static photo come into life and it was a good experience in applying what I learned during tutorials when doing the animation. I am quite satisfied with the final outcome of the video.
